Year 5

The team consists of Mr Hunt, Mrs Baber, Mrs Jordan, Miss Westwood and a group of kind, creative and hard working pupils. In Year 5, children get to push themselves out of their comfort zone on a two-day outdoor and adventurous trip to Wokingham Waterside Centre as well as accessing a Sports Leaders Playmaker Award to support their development as leaders and prepare them for their Year 6 roles such as House Captains, Sports Ambassadors, Wellbeing Ambassadors and running any clubs for their peers in the school. In swimming, they develop the key skills of being able to swim 25m unaided, performing a variety of strokes and being able to perform safe self-rescue in different situations. They also get the chance to experience topic related trips and dress up days. We work hard but we also have a lot of fun at the same time.
