Providing a range of clubs and opportunities for all children's interests, hobbies and personal and social development
We are very proud of our range of inclusive clubs and the events we put on for our children and parents.

There are a wide variety of clubs on offer at Long Lane throughout the year. With a mixture of paid and free clubs, running before school, at lunchtime and after school, we feel that there is something for everyone to try.​​
Our clubs work on an application process (those run by school) whereby a clubs form is sent to parents to request a place at clubs. We try to be as fair as possible to ensure that all children have fair and equal access to these clubs.

Outside providers have their own processes for joining clubs, collecting payment and hold their own insurances, policies and safeguarding/first aid procedures. They liaise with school where appropriate and necessary to do so for children's welfare.

Alongside extra-curricular clubs that we offer, we also have many rich, curriculum related experiences that help develop pupils understanding of the world around them and support their deepening knowledge.
Before & After School Clubs
We are extremely lucky to be able to offer wraparound care for families who need this. Mighty Allstars are a friendly family run business who are able to provide a nurturing and caring ethos for our children in the school before and after school hours.
The school works really closely with the company to align values and understand the nuances between school and a more relaxed, homely environment. Whilst with Charles and Doreen, the children are able to explore their interests, learn new social skills, make friends and feel relaxed all within the grounds of the school with use of the extensive outdoor facilities.

Year 5 and 6 Lunchtime Clubs
Our children lead a variety of clubs for all children across the school
We believe at Long Lane that children should be given the freedom and responsibility to experience using their initiative, planning and other leadership skills in ways in which are directed by them. Therefore our Year 5 and 6 children can apply to run a club for other children at lunchtimes. Each club is planned and delivered by the children with an adult mentor for support.
This has been not only a great opportunity for the children in developing their leadership skills but also provides a variety of experiences for our younger children as well. Some of the clubs we have run are; Stone painting, Arts and Crafts, American Football, Energy Club, Karaoke Club, Games club. The children always blow us aways with their maturity and trustworthy attitude.
