Our Year 4 team is Mrs Mowbray, Mrs Savard, Mrs Bastia, Mrs Nadtochii and Mrs Syrad. Mrs Mowbray is mad about Science, being outdoors and music; Mrs Syrad loves to craft, as well as being the Family Support Worker and Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
We enjoy having lots of visitors to our class including the WI who listen to readers, parents, work experience students and student teachers – the more the merrier! Our class mantra is: if you’re in a panic, it’s ok to make mistakes, we can help! And, there aren’t problems, only solutions.
Welcome to our Year 4 page. Scroll down to look at our Curriculum. You should find a 'Curriculum Map', which will show you what we are covering throughout the year. Below this, is information about all the different subjects we teach.
Please use the documents to talk about your child's learning at home. Find out about some of the things we do in Year 4 and check out these photos. We hope you find the Year 1 page useful.
Thank you,
The Year 4 team.

Reading in Year 4
Our Reading Spine
We love reading stories together in Rainbow Class. Whether it's Rosie's Walk or searching out the Gruffalo we enjoy exploring stories as we learn. You can find our more about all of the books we read each term from our Reading Spine document.
Recommended Reading
Our friends at School Reading List have put together a list of recommended reading books for children in Rainbow Class. All widely available to buy or pick up from a local library there's even more to enjoy togehter at home.
We proactively teach about Difference and Diversity in each class and as a wider school as part of our therapeutic ethos. We want to ensure that diversity is represented and explored through safe and supportive activities and discussion. Our No Outsiders programme supports this through stories and planned lessons and assemblies.
You can find out more on our 'Diversity and Equality' page.
